Our Story
Before Laura & Nora was a brand, it was a small shop, a young mother, and a
little girl doing her homework on the counter after closing time.
Laura raised Nora
on her own. There was no second income, no one to share the late nights with —
just a rack of clothes, a sewing kit, and a daughter she would do anything for.
So she opened a little clothing store. Not because it was easy, but because it
was the one thing she did better than anyone: knowing exactly what could make a
woman feel like herself again.
Nora grew up between those racks. She learned to fold before she could spell.
She watched her mother stay open an hour late for the customer who was nervous
— about a funeral, a first date, a first day back at work. She watched Laura
turn other women's hardest days into something a little softer, while quietly
carrying plenty of her own.
Years later, it
was Nora's turn. She came back — not as the girl on the counter, but as the
partner her mother always deserved. Together they took that little shop and
opened its doors to women everywhere. They called it what it had always been:
Laura & Nora.
Laura still
chooses every piece, the same way she always has — would this make a real woman
feel beautiful, and will it last? Nora carries the rest. The brand is built on
the same thing that built the two of them: showing up. For each other, and for
every woman who walks through the door.
